Downtown Women’s Center is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.

Your duties might include making sandwiches, preparing individual bags of cookies and trail mix, and packing brown bags with an assortment of food items. We ask that volunteers also write notes of encouragement or inspiration to include in the bags.

Minimum age to participate is 12. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to participate. Vaccinations are required. Masks are optional unless you are prepping food. One name per entry. Space is limited. If an event thd full, please email us at volunteer@upworksforgood.org to be placed on our waiting list.

We will provide masks and gloves. They will be required for those who will prep food. Please feel free to bring your own hat, bandana and/or hair tie. We will be outdoors. Food prep will take place under a covered patio area.
